Ingram Micro India Limited, a subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc., has announced

a tie-up with TVS Electronics (TVSE), the Chennai based manufacturer of

printers, keyboards and power conditioning systems (UPS). This is the first time

that TVSE has entered into a national partnership for the nationwide

distribution of its products by a single partner.

Ingram Micro India vice president, marketing, PG Kamath said, "We have

established an extremely strong foothold in the Indian market in terms of reach,

spread and support that we can provide to our partners. We will be extending all

of these to the TVSE business. The TVSE products, especially the dot matrix

printer line, will succeed in filling up an important void in Ingram Micro’s

peripherals offerings. We will be particularly concentrating on the metro

markets."

TVSE has a distribution network in the country reaching over 200 towns

through a network of more than 70 distributors and 1,300 authorized dealer

partners. Ingram Micro has established 21 offices throughout the country

inclusive of regional offices in New Delhi, Calcutta, Chennai, Mumbai, Lucknow,

Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
