The project aims to guide the dynamic youth population towards becoming mobile application developers and effective players in the ever growing global application market. Those to be trained through the turkcell.com.tr/gelecegiyazanlar portal will be able to use Turkcell services to develop mobile applications and software for platforms like Android, iOS and Windows Phone, which appeal to millions.

At a conference, where the Minister of Transportation, Maritime and Communication, Binali Yildirim, Information Technologies and Communication Authority, chairman, Tayfun Acarer and Turkcell CEO, Sureyya Ciliv, were present, Cliv described the initiative as a crucial step toward Turkey's targeted 160 billion dollar sector growth for its 2023 vision.

Ciliv continued: "In 2012, Turkey's software development exceeded 2.4 billion TL, while exports of software and services were at around 750 million TL reaching 70 countries worldwide. Meanwhile globally, mobile software development is expected to reach $25 billion by the end of 2013, and to triple within five to six years. Therefore, creating added value in mobile service is important for sustainable global competition. Ultimately, let's all write the future together so that Turkey can become a pioneer when it comes to developing mobile applications, and have the best qualified engineers worldwide.'Â’
