TTSL pulls up from CDMA, GSM auction fray

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Tata Teleservices, after pulling itself from CDMA auction on Monday, has now walked out of GSM bid process The reason, company stated, is exorbitant pricing.

TTSL was in the pre-bid qualifying list for the auction for 2G spectrum allocation. The EGoM has though agreed it to allow 4.4MHz spectrum in Delhi circle.

DoT has agreed to the participation of Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone, Videocon and Telewings for 1800 MHz band auction.

A mock auction will be held on November 7 and 8 while the final process for allocation of 1800 MHz band will take place on November 12.

Vodafone deposited 229 crore for 17 circles; Videocon deposited Rs 648 crore for 15 circles; and Telewings deposited Rs 1,096 crores for 13 circles.
