BANGALORE, INDIA: Truecaller announces partnership with Twitter to enable Truecaller users in India to see if a number is connected with a Twitter account, and follow a person directly through the Truecaller app. Users can now take advantage of expanded social features to streamline communications over Twitter's platform instantly through the Truecaller app.

Truecaller is a free app, currently available on iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone, Nokia, and Symbian devices. With Truecaller, you are able to control how your contact information is shared, and how others can contact you. This is done by guarding your most personal accessory (your mobile phone) and eliminating the annoyance of unwanted calls, while making it easier for people you want to hear from to find you.

"With this new integration, a Truecaller user can instantly tweet back to a missed call that has a Twitter account connected to the phone number. This is especially valuable for users in India who are looking for a fast, free and reliable way to communicate," says Alan Mamedi, CEO & co-founder at Truecaller.

Truecaller's Twitter integration is currently available for Android users, with plans to expand to iOS in 2014.
