Truecaller Appoints Odd Bolin as CFO before probable IPO in 2021

Odd will join Truecaller, Stockholm. He will oversee the financial management and operations and prepare the company for an initial public offering (IPO.)

Truecaller has announced that they have appointed Odd Bolin as their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Odd will join the management team in Stockholm. He will oversee the financial management and operations to support the company’s growth. Further, he will prepare the company for an initial public offering (IPO). This is the second senior hire the company has made in the past two months to strengthen the management team.

About Odd Bolin

Odd has extensive experience taking high growth companies public. He has also managed several international M&A, ranging in size from 10 to 150 million USD. Before this appointment, Odd was the Group CFO at Sinch where he helped take the company public. There, he also led half a dozen international acquisitions, including Sinch’s 130 million USD acquisition of Mblox in 2016. He has also been Group CFO at Zacco, G5 Entertainment and Cybercom. Before that, he was a stock market analyst and M&A advisor. Odd has a PhD in Plasma Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

In 2020, Truecaller grew its active user base with 25% - growing from 213 million active users at the beginning of the year to 267 million active users globally at the end of 2020, while also becoming profitable and cash flow-positive. As always, India contributes a majority of users and revenue for Truecaller. Currently, Truecaller has 195 million active users in India alone.
