NEW DELHI: Delhi-based Trifin Technologies has stepped up its efforts to
develop the market further for Toshiba notebooks. This comes with the
appointment of Trifin as a regional distributor for Toshiba products by HCL
Infosystems. HCL Infosystems is the national distributor for Toshiba notebooks
in the country.
Trifin is now building its channel further to address the retail and the
corporate market better. While the retail channel will typically address the
SOHO market, the corporate channel will help the company make inroads in the SMB
segment.
Trifin is presently working with 30 partners for Toshiba notebooks and is
looking at adding another 10 by the JAS quarter. It is also looking at promoting
employee purchase program deals with organizations. "We will drive a
migration from desktop purchase to laptops," says Trifin Technologies
director, Nitin Aggarwal.
Trifin is aggressively organizing events and promotions to ensure faster sales.
It recently concluded a five-location roadshow in Delhi, co-funded by HCL.
"We are also providing our partners with demo units to ease the sales
process," says Nitin. Apart from these the company is also planning to
undertake joint marketing activities with its partners.
Very soon Trifin will also expand its product portfolio by introducing the
pocket PC from Toshiba.
