Trend Micro secures China

NEW DELHI: Trend Micro has announced an agreement with SINA, a Chinese Internet portal, to provide advanced security protection for more than 100 million email users in China and the global Chinese community.






The company will provide a number of security services to SINA's customers, beginning with email scanning services. In the near future, Trend Micro and SINA plan to introduce additional services to SINA's customers, such as online virus scanning for PCs, antivirus security for mobile (wireless) devices, and anti-spam protection.





Trend Micro CEO Eva Chen said, "Trend Micro acknowledges the importance of a secured Internet infrastructure for China. Our vision is to create a world safe for exchanging digital information, and our partnership with SINA enables us to realize that vision in one of the world's largest and fastest-growing economies."
