Transcend P8 comes to India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Multimedia products and storage equipment provider Transcend Information Inc has brought to the Indian marketplace its popular P8 all-in-one USB Card Reader.

The product, available in different shades, comes with rounded edges and a streamlined design, said a press release.

All of 77.7mm x 46mm x 15.8mm in size and easy to carry, the P8 has card slots clearly labeled leaving no room for confusion, it added.

The P8 card reader comes incorporated with photo recovery software that helps users easily restore lost or damaged files such as documents, videos, spreadsheets, or music.

The company has said the P8 can handle high-speed Ultra DMA transfer modes, especially when using high-speed 300X CompactFlash cards.

The P8 directly accepts popular memory cards such as CF, SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus, RS-MMC, MMCmobile, microSD, and microSDHC cards.

It also supports miniSD, miniSDHC, and MMCmicro cards with an adapter.

The P8 comes with a two-year warranty . The Transcend P8 is compliant with the Hi-Speed USB 2.0 specification, is USB powered and is compatible with the new SDHC standard. The company has attached a price tag of Rs 750for the product in India.
