Tracking vehicles with BOW cards

BANGALORE: Bangalore headquartered BOW Network Pvt Ltd (Bharath on Wheels) has commenced an all India sale of "BOW" cards and "Trip" cards. BOW offers vehicle tracking system for the transport industry and operates through its tracking points established in the entire country and network of franchisees consisting of master franchisees and area franchisees.

For utilizing the "BOW Card" it is mandatory for vehicle owners, consignors, and agents to register their vehicles with BOW Network by paying a one-time registration fee of Rs500. In addition, monthly service charges need to be paid to access these services.

The "Trip Card" can be utilized in case the vehicle is not registered with BOW and are available at all area franchisees setup in the district and business headquarters and the designated retail outlets such as petrol pumps, identified STD Booths and dabhas on the national and state highways.

According to BOW Network MD Selvaraj PS, the BOW Cards and Trip Cards are driver friendly. "When the driver uses BOW Cards or Trip Cards he is eligible for benefits such as health care facility to the drivers & cleaners during journey, assistance in case of breakdowns or other emergencies and security arrangements as and when required," he added.

In order to increase the usage of BOW Cards and Trip Cards by the drivers, BOW has introduced a lottery system wherein for every call that is made a receipt in the form of a lottery ticket is given to the driver. Every quarter a lottery draw of Rs50,000 is conducted from which five drivers are selected and awarded Rs10,000, each which acts as an incentive for the drivers.
