NEW DELHI: Total Info (I) Ltd. is gearing up to penetrate the server market
with the launch of their Axiom range of servers. Based on the Intel platform,
the server conforms to all standards as specified by Intel, with the component
numbers also specified by the microprocessor giant.
With its ISO 9002 certified testing and repairing center, Total Info is
looking at bridging the gap between assembled and branded servers. Says Total
Info CEO, Neelesh Arora, "We will offer the best of quality at an
affordable price point." With the customizable product costing anywhere
between Rs 50,000 to Rs 10 lakh, as per the specifications, the company is
looking at most of its sales coming from the small and the medium enterprise to
begin with.
The company plans to sell as many as 25 units per month starting December, a
major proportion of which will come through the channel. "We don't have a
fix on the number of partners that we will appoint as of now," says Arora.
The company however will adopt a cautious approach in selecting the partners as
they wish to ensure that their selection is a reflection of the product quality.
To ensure quality is not compromised at any level, the company will tackle all
service issues itself. "We will initially establish up to five support
locations in the Northern region," adds Arora.
In the first phase of its marketing exercise, Total Info will cover Delhi and
the National Capital Region that comprises of the satellite towns. Also on the
agenda is heading west by the end of the financial year. "We plan to
replicate the model in the western part of the country in about three months
time," says Arora.
