Toshiba tops A3-sized MFD brand

NEW DELHI: Toshiba Singapore Pte. Ltd today said that its e-STUDIO range has acquired 26% of the market share to become highest selling A3-sized MFD brand in India.

According to market research by IDC, e-STUDIO is at number one position in terms of total volumes shipped in the product category, Toshiba said in a press statement. Of the total 15,969 A3-sized Laser MFDs sold in the country during 2004-05, Toshiba had the largest share of 4,160 units outselling other brands.

Yuichi Nozawa, general manager-International Operations, Electronic Imaging Division, Toshiba, said: "We demonstrated our commitment towards the growing Indian market by setting up an e-STUDIO showroom, the first of its kind, that's simulated as an office environment. Our commitment towards the Indian market has paid rich dividends as within a short span of three years Toshiba has reached the number one position in the country."

Toshiba Corp, a Fortune 500 company and ranked 64th in the world, has a powerful partnership in India with HCL, an IT and office automation company, for distribution and support since 1980. This partnership has successfully entered into its 26th year.
