Toshiba elevates Tengguo Wu as director

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Toshiba India, a provider in technology products, today announced the appointment of Tengguo Wu as director of its PC Division.

He would spearhead the Indian operations and strengthen Toshiba’s PC Division to aggressively ramp up its operations and grow its market share, said a press release.

Tengguo Wu, said, “Toshiba India is poised at a very exciting stage as we plan to expand our presence across India. Our path-breaking technology and innovative products have made us a major global player and we believe the time is right for us to ramp up our operations and expand our product offerings to the Indian customer.”

Tengguo started his career with Toshiba in 1990, in South East Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. Based in Singapore in early 1990’s, he led Toshiba’s foray into the nascent Indian laptop market.

In the following decades, Tengguo has been instrumental in developing new businesses and markets for Toshiba Corporation across 30 countries including South and Southeast Asia, Middle East, South Africa, and Pacific Islands.
