NEW DELHI, INDIA: Toshiba India Private Limited’s Personal Computer Division today announced that it has expanded its range of laptops with the introduction of a powerful entertainment laptop with 3D playback capabilities - the Satellite A660 laptop.
Equipped with NVIDIA 3D Vision technology, the new laptop is ready to deliver a stereoscopic 3D experience to games, movies, photos and more, said a press release.
New user downloadable 2 software will be available in the next few weeks further enhance the experience, giving consumers the ability to convert their favorite 2D DVDs to 3D as well as extend the experience to 3D-ready HDTVs. This future feature will be available to its customers at no additional cost, the release said.
Bundled with a pair of wireless active shutter glasses, Satellite A660 laptop provides immediate out-of-the-box compatibility with hundreds of PC games.
With the Toshiba Video Player 3D software player, the users can convert their favorite 2D DVD movies into 3D.
"The Satellite A660 Series laptop makes 3D technology even more accessible," said Sivakumar N., general manager, Toshiba India Personal Computer Division. "Our 2D to 3D conversion software allows people to go back into their DVD libraries and experience their favorite content all over again in stunning 3D without having to repurchase anything."
The Satellite A660 laptop is powered by Intel Core - i5-560M processor with TurboBoost technology. The laptop also features NVIDIA GeForce GTS 350M graphics processing unit (GPU) with 1GB of GDDR3 video memory.
Satellite A660 comes with a 15.6-inch diagonal super bright Clear SuperView widescreen LCD display with LED backlighting and a 120Hz refresh rate. Priced at Rs. 80837, the laptop also features a 4GB DDR3 RAM and 500GB hard drive.
