The Google Cloud Next ’21 event was kicked-off by Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, a three-day digital event alongside Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Google announced more than 20 new and expanded partnerships with technology leaders as well as share how our ecosystem of global service partners are continuing to expand their offerings with Google Cloud.

BigQuery Omni: To address complex data management across hybrid and multicloud environments, we are announcing the general availability of BigQuery Omni, which allows customers to analyze data across Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.

Dataplex: In addition to these multicloud capabilities, Dataplex will be generally available this quafier to provide an intelligent data fabric that enables you to keep your data distributed while making it securely accessible to all your analytics tools.

Spark on Google Cloud: To help make data engineering even easier, we are announcing Spark on Google Cloud in preview, the world’s first autoscaling and serverless Spark service for the Google Cloud data plaVorm, which makes Spark a premium offering on Google Cloud and enables customers to get stafied in seconds and scale infinitely, regardless if they stafi in BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataplex or Vefiex AI.

Vefiex AI Workbench: We’re taking Vefiex AI (launched in May 2021) a step fufiher with the launch of Vefiex AI Workbench in preview, by giving data scientists a premium, unified user experience to build and deploy ML models faster, accelerating time-to-value for their organizations.

Contact Center AI (CCAI): To fast track the path from AI investments to outcomes, we are announcing additions to two of our core AI-powered solutions. CCAI Insights provides out-of-the-box and custom modeling techniques to make it easier for contact center teams to beMer understand customer interaction data.

DocAI expansion: Contract DocAI lets customers extract insights from the unstructured text in contracts, helping to accelerate contract lifecycles and reduce the cost of contract processing.

Intelligent Product Essentials: Manufacturers to build smafi products that use AI at the edge and analytics in the cloud to respond to their environments–ranging from industrial products that provide service recommendations to field technicians, to smafi home appliances that adapt based on usage and environment–for example, adaptive power-saving modes based on time of day or energy costs.

Work Safer: The launch of the new Work Safer Program, designed to help protect organizations against rising cybersecurity threats. Spot VMs: Compute Engine Spot VMs in Preview. Spot VMs offer customers beMer guaranteed minimum savings and more pricing predictability than spot instances from any other leading cloud provider. With fewer restrictions on excess compute capacity, Spot VMs are the future for Google Cloud.

Cloud Build Hybrid: Enables customers to build, test, and deploy across clouds and on-prem systems, so developers get consistent CI/CD tooling across their environments, and plaVorm engineers don't have to worry about maintaining and scaling their systems.

Google Cloud Cofiex Framework: a foundation of endorsed solution reference templates and content for customers to accelerate business outcomes with less risk, complexity, and cost. In our first release, customers can take advantage of a rich data foundation of building blocks and templates for SAP environments.

Sustainability

Carbon Footprint: Google Cloud will provide Carbon Footprint re-profiling for every Google Cloud PlaVorm customer in the cloud console. Co-designed with customers like HSBC, Atos, Salesforce, and L’Oreal, Google Cloud’s Carbon Footprint product will provide customers with an accurate and actionable repofi of the carbon footprint associated with the Cloud usage.

Google Earth Engine: Google Earth Engine will become available for select enterprise customers, enabling organizations to combine the power of cloud computing, satellite imagery and AI to decarbonize their operations. Google Eafih Engine brings the best of Google (BigQuery, Cloud AI, Google Maps PlaVorm, and Eafih Engine) together.

Carbon reduction recommendations: Google Cloud will now allow customers of all idle cloud instances and their associated carbon footprints. If customers choose to delete them, they will reduce their cloud carbon footprints. Active Assist Recommender service now includes the sustainability impact category. Staffing with the UnaMended Project Recommender API, customers can now estimate the carbon emissions they’ll save by removing their idle resources.
