NEW DELHI: Burlington based Alpha Software has unveiled a product that it claims can ease Web development with the popular open source database software, MySQL. Said an online report.
Coined as Data-2-the-Web, this tool can be used to create Web-savvy databases without getting into the nitty-gritty of languages like PHP, ASP, Perl or JavaScript. According to Richard Rabins, co-chairman of Alpha Software, using this tool even a non-programmer can tie Web sites to databases and create applications like order entry, contact-management, lead tracking etc.
The tool can be particularly useful for MySQL programmers who have to depend on complex programming languages like PHP, Perl, Python, JavaScript etc. for building database based Web applications.
Data-2-the-Web, provides an intuitive point-and-click interface and comes with a powerful web Component Builder. Using the point-and-click interface data aware components can be build, which can be linked with the backend MySQL database without coding.
