BANGALORE, INDIA: Search engine giant Google has introduced ‘Good to know’ campaign to help users understand and protect online information.

The 'Good to Know' (google.com/goodtoknow) site is also available in Hindi and several other Indian languages like Gujarati, Tamil, and Telugu. Google is planning to make the campaign available in dozens more languages–about 30 from today, and an additional 30 in the coming weeks.

"We know that the web can be confusing at times, and that everyone wants to stay safe online. We’re also incorporating the Google Family Safety Center website, which has included online safety tips since 2010, into Good to Know to make all this information available in one place. You’ll be able to learn about how to protect yourself online, gain insight into how your data is used on Google and around the web, and get tips on managing your family’s online experience. For example, you can find out how to choose a strong password, recognize a phishing scam and double your account security with 2-step verification," says a post on its site.
