Tips for installing a FixPak for DB2 UDB on UNIX

Like other software products, frequent fixes are applied to DB2 in the form of a FixPak. There may eventually be as many as 15 or more FixPaks within a given version of DB2, each containing numerous patches for problems discovered.

A short description of each of these patches is included in the APARLIST.TXT file. Occasionally, new features are included in FixPaks giving the DB2 product greater functionality. These are described in the ReleaseNotes.txt file. Both the APARLIST.TXT and ReleaseNotes.txt files accompany the FixPak.
