After the successful launch of Apple BKC, Tim Cook has inaugurated second Apple retail store in India at the national capital. The tech-giant opened its second flagship outlet in New Delhi's Select City Walk, Saket on Thursday, 20 April. Now, India is home to two Apple retail stores. Customers were linned up outside of Apple Saket ahead of the store’s grand opening.

Attended by various Government officials:

The launch was attended by thousands of Apple fans who were welcomed by Tim Cook himself. The event was witnessed by many government officials, including the Minister of State for IT and the Rail Minister.

Apple's investments in India:

A day before the store launch, Tim Cook also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on wednesday, said Apple was ‘committed to growing and investing across the country’. The meeting was about to discuss Apple's investments in India, and the deputy IT minister said that Apple could double or triple its investments in India and exports from the country in the coming years.

Prime Minister Modi replied to Cook’s tweet saying, "An absolute delight to meet you, @tim_cook! Glad to exchange views on diverse topics and highlight the tech-powered transformations taking place in India."

Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail said, “We’re thrilled to bring the best of Apple to our customers in Delhi with the opening of our second store in India, Apple Saket,” . She further added, “Our incredible team members look forward to connecting with the local community and helping them find new ways to pursue their passions and unleash their creativity through our amazing products and services.”

The store is designed with a unique design inspired by Delhi's many gates. This  Apple store is smaller than the Apple Mumbai store. Apple Saket is designed with materials sourced from the region, including the tables and wood feature wall. Apple has tried to give the store a local touch.

It has a curved storefront and white oak tables displaying Apple's products and accessories. Like Apple BKC, this store is also 100 percent sustainable and carbon neutral. This store will also have a Genius Bar where customers can make a reservation for hands-on technical and hardware support for help from experts.

A dedicated pick-up station:

The Apple Saket store has a dedicated Apple PickUp station as its unique selling point. It will make it easier for customers can customize their orders online and collect them at the pick-up point at their convenience.

Requirements for picking up an order at an Apple Store:

To pick up your items in an Apple Store, customer will needs to bring the order number and a valid government-issued photo ID. If you have designated an alternative pickup contact, they will need to bring the order number and a valid government-issued photo ID. Apple will notify customers when their order is ready and the date by which they need to pick it up.

The store is open from 10 AM to 11 PM on all weekdays. The store opened on April 20, 2023, and is the second official Apple store in India. It is located on the first floor of the Select Citywalk Mall in Delhi.

Significance of Apple Saket store:

The Delhi Apple Store, located in Saket, is significant as it is India's second Apple Store and was inaugurated by Apple CEO Tim Cook. Also, Apple has marked its 25th years in India and is seen as a significant milestone for the company. As per official updates, the Apple Saket team consists of almost 70 people who belong to 18 different Indian states and can collectively speak 15 Indian languages.
