TiE-Hyderabad and Woxsen School of Business launch entrepreneurship development program

HYDERABAD, INDIA: TiE Hyderabad & Woxsen School of Business have announced the launch of TiE - Woxsen Entrepreneurship Development Program 2017 today. The program will give Startup entrepreneurs the chance to connect with each other and improve their entrepreneurship skills.

​Under this program​ 20 startups would be chosen and taken through a rigorous workshop Program of 6 days covering 2 weekends. The program includes knowledge sharing sessions by the faculty of Woxsen School of Business and seasoned entrepreneurs and captains of industries from diverse sectors.

A recently released industry study revealed startling facts about Indian startup scene which said only 1 in 10 start-ups manage to survive for more than five years due to entrepreneur’s lack of ability to solve multiple testing factors in the entrepreneurship cycle. The new EDP program is a step to resolve this very challenge through industry - academia collaboration.

“Today’s startup trend tells that many startups are not seeing the light of the day as the mortality rate is increasing. This can be caused by many factors. The most  one being preparedness of the startup founder along with his perseverance which needs to be continuously nurtured. This program is one step towards this nurturing,” Pradeep Mittal, President, TiE Hyderabad.

Sreedevi Devireddy, Executive Director, TiE Hyderabad  "This program is a journey where the participant will be taken through the complete cycle of entrepreneurship. Starting from Business-Plan framework, defining a target audience, validating a business idea, building consistent marketing plan, to the funding options for the venture.” Post the workshop shortlisted startups will be presented to potential investors for funding she added.

Since​,​ inception TiE-Hyderabad has impacted more than 5000 people interested in entrepreneurship.​

​There is no age criteria for the program that will be held on July 14-16 and July 28-30. The application deadline is June 20.
