TIBCO ties up with HCL, VMware

CALIFORNIA, USA: TIBCO, a provider in IT services, today announced alliances with HCL Technologies and VMware to facilitate adoption and help enterprise customers realize the benefits of cloud computing with TIBCO Silver, a platform designed from the ground up for the rapid delivery of cloud applications inside the enterprise.

HCL Technologies would leverage TIBCO Silver to help its customers pursue and deploy their cloud strategy through outsourcing, consulting services, solutions labs and bundled services, said a press release.

Vikram Duvvoori, senior vice president and global head, enterprise transformation services, HCL Technologies stated, "At HCL, we believe that cloud computing could create an impact beyond IT and open up Blue Ocean opportunities for business transformation. We are long standing strategic partners with TIBCO and share a vision for transformation.”

He added that they believe that TIBCO Silver is a step in the right direction, as it reduces barriers to adoption of process automation and application platforms.

VMware would work with TIBCO to enable customers who virtualize their IT environments to more easily deploy and manage application solutions and create new services so they are able to focus less on maintenance and more on innovation.

"VMware vSphere 4 helps customers of all sizes dramatically reduce capital and operating expenses while providing a proven platform for running all their applications with increased flexibility and agility," said Parag Patel, vice president, alliances, VMware.

He added that their new relationship with TIBCO complements the VMware vCloud Initiative to enable simplified infrastructure that would allow companies to more easily build and deploy applications for the cloud.
