The two-channel, 125-mega samples per second (MSPS) ADS62C15 and single-channel, 200-MSPS ADS5517 provide the highest combination of resolution and sample rate available in China for wireless infrastructure equipment, low-power automated test equipment, and general-purpose data acquisition equipment. This ADC offering from TI advances the signal chain for TD-SCDMA applications in China.

Increase bandwidth for TD-SCDMA

TI's ADS62C15 TI delivers on the need for increased bandwidth in the cellular infrastructure market by increasing performance as much as 7dB over previous 11-bit converters. The ADS62C15 features TI’s SNRBoost technology, providing a lower noise floor and higher receiver sensitivity for applications that require up to 20MHz of signal bandwidth.

This technology provides signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) characteristics, similar to a 14-bit converter in limited bandwidth applications, but with only an 11-bit output. For instance, in applications requiring 10MHz bandwidth, such as diversity receivers, the ADS62C15 achieves 75dBFS SNR in default mode and can reach 82dBFS SNR with SNRBoost.

The ADS5517 is the first 11-bit ADC available in a space-saving 7x7mm package that operated at 200MSPS. The ADS5517 provides the bandwidth necessary for linearizing the performance of transmit power amplifiers in digital pre-distortion (DPD) solutions, enabling OEMs to produce more efficient transmit solutions.
