BANGALORE, INDIA: Texas Instruments Inc. has introduced a monolithic 12-bit, 550-MSPS (mega samples per second) analog-to-digital converter (ADC), which provides more than 200 MHz of signal bandwidth in applications where high resolution, accuracy and linearity are critical.
The new pipeline ADC offers the highest spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) available for input frequencies (IF) above 500 MHz.
This enables more efficient power amplifier linearization in digital pre-distortion (DPD) solutions, better range and sensitivity in defense imaging and communication systems, and higher accuracy in wide-band test and measurement equipment.
Key benefits:
* TI's new ADC allows for high IF and direct RF sampling architectures to simplify system design.
* Eases analog front-end design by providing constant input impedance over input frequency and eliminating track-and-hold kick back.
* Works well in high temperature and high radiation environments.
