TI to highlight 'Da Vinci technology'

BANGALORE: Chip major Texas Instruments (TI) will highlight its range of imaging and digital video applications called “Da Vinci technology” at its eighth annual TI developer conference to be held on November 30 and December 1 in Bangalore.

“This year marks the company's 75th anniversary and the ecosystem that consists of developers, customers, partners and academicians coming together,” said Dr Biswadip (Bobby) Mitra, MD, Texas Instruments India.

He also added that 2005 marked the company's 20th anniversary in India. “We want to help Indian product companies to leverage TI's differentiated Analog and DSP solutions to benefit their customers and business,” he added.

He stressed that the company was viewing India not just to address the developers but also to address the semi-conductor market. Sham Banerji, head-software development, TI, India said that 1200 participants from 450 domestic and multinational tech companies would attend the event.

TI Principal Fellow, Gene Frantz, who was a key speaker during the summit, said that the next wave of technology innovation would happen in areas of transportation, medicine, security and education.
