Thomas Chin to lead Riverbed APJ region

BANGALORE: Riverbed Technology, wide-area data services (WDS) solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Thomas Chin as vice president, Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ)

In his role, Chin will be responsible for driving company’s APJ business, including customer growth, sales strategy and partner acquisition. Two-decade veteran Chin earlier has worked with Network Appliance (NetApp) and Adaptec Inc.

He was also the founder of CFH Associates, which represented global high-technology manufacturers in Asian markets, including introducing IBM solutions into the mainland-China market.

"Tom brings to Riverbed a global perspective that enables him to build high-touch, local business models that also reflect the worldwide nature of today's business," said Jerry Kennelly, CEO and president of Riverbed. "Thomas's proven extensive experience working with the Global 2000, coupled with his close relationships with channel and OEM partners, makes him an ideal addition to the Riverbed management team."
