I must say that it is better to have just one good product rather than having a variety of products with features that fail to perform. Acer has done exactly this with their LCD monitor, which has got both looks and performance. It has a classy appeal, thanks to the sleek silver bezel with Power key & function keys at the bottom. The stand is quite sturdy, locks on to the monitor and provides excellent support. However, in DisplayMate benchmark, we found a minor issue in the color registration test and some streaking in the Sparse Moiré test. But, these were the minor issues that can very well be overlooked. I watched movies, played games on the LCD and felt absolute joy.
Like many LCD monitors, poor viewing angles is still a problem with this. And one thing that's a bit strange is that the test unit which we received did not have a DVI port, but the variant of the same that I found in the market had both DVI and HDCP support. Overall, what more can I say rather than just mentioning the fact that it is the latest entry to my personal home theatre.
