TOKYO, JAPAN: THine Electronics Inc. unveiled its new 10Gbps SerDes interface with high ESD tolerance.THine has achieved this new 10Gbps technology with relatively older manufacturing process of 130 nm.

Advertisment

The new SerDes technology enables to provide 10Gbps SerDes interface at less costs and also to create a possibility to achieve higher-speed interface by using more advanced process with finer geometry.

This high-speed technology is suitable for ultra-high-speed inter-server communication of big data infrastructures and cloud servers as well as the advanced interfaces for PCs that require higher-speed of 8Gbps to 10Gbps.

The new 10Gbps SerDes interface is developed based on THine's original pre-emphasis and equalizer technology with know-how in internal circuits. In addition to the high-speed feature, this new technology has achieved higher ESD tolerance advantage of more than 8kV with HBM, reducing the sources of noise of ESD.

Although the balance between higher-speed and noise tolerance is generally difficult, THine has developed the new solution for requirements in the emerging markets.

THine has provided solutions with value added in high-speed features for wide markets in consumer, office automations, amusement, industrial equipments, data communication, mobile handsets, and automotive equipments, and THine plans to provide additional advantages in SerDes interfaces, delivering the samples of the first products with this new technology in the third quarter of 2014.
