CEO Ian Osborne states: “With the launch of the iPhone 3G on 11 July, we believe that more business users than ever will want to make use of the iPhone. There have been estimates that the iPhone market share will increase 10 fold. We believe that over the course of the next year, it is set to rise even higher than that.”

“Many users will want a quick an easy way to get access to business services and information on their iPhone” continues Osborne. “TheSMESpace is committed to providing this. We are a UK company and whereas the informational services are UK focused many of the business services, such as our iPhone storage service are truly global.”

In the new benchmark report on the Workforce and Web 2.0 by the Aberdeen Group, a survey showed:

* 34 percent average reduction in project completion time,

* 26.7 percent increase in revenue per employee, when individuals made use of Web 2.0 technologies.

“We believe that more and more companies and workers will use online and mobile technologies to make them more effective”, states Osborne. “We also believe that more will have to work on the move or are going to be encouraged to work from home. It is our aim to provide them with the tools to allow them to do this.”

“We view the iPhone as a disruptive device in the mobile market which is why we have concentrated on this platform for our initial mobile service launch, but we also aim to provide the same services to other mobile users later in the year, and indeed some of the services are already available on other mobile platforms.”

Over the course of the summer, TheSMESpace will also be augmenting its existing services. New services will include TheSMEMarketplace, an online Marketplace for UK businesses, SMEWiki, a Wiki with content solely focused on UK businesses, and SMEGroups, a new iPhone service that allows business users to collaborate in real-time.
