Ian Osborne, CEO, states: “We believe the iPhone and iPod Touch to be disruptive technology devices that are rapidly changing the way people use mobile devices. They are changing not only what people are expecting from them from a technology perspective, but also what people expect from their applications and how they can use them. Users want similar functionality on the move that they get when they are sat at their desks.”

Mobile SMEStorage for the iPhone is one of a number of iPhone applications that TheSMESpace have launched, which include SMEScheduler, a group scheduling application in which users can vote on meetings, and which integrates with Outlook, iCal and Google Calendars, as well as using Twitter for real-time SMS meeting alerts; iPhone Builder which allows any user or business to freely make their RSS or Atom feeds available as an iPhone application; and iPhoneiquity which compresses any web page and makes them available in iPhone format for when users have to use the slower Edge network.

“We are committed to providing more online and iPhone enabled applications for businesses and individuals to use,” said Osborne. “We are also building out other channels to access. For example SMEStorage can also be accessed using a Firefox plug-in, a Google Gadget, a REST API, and we will soon be releasing Joomla and Facebook components that enables users to choose how they use and integrate our data access solution.”

“We also intend to take advantage of the new iPhone 2.0 OS for applications on the device where it makes sense,” states Osborne.

TheSMESpace provides online and mobile applications for businesses and individuals.
