Theft at Ghaziabad

GHAZIABAD, INDIA: In a recent theft incident at Ghaziabad-based Akriti Enterprises, a group of burglars fled away with 10 laptops and hard disks worth Rs five lakh. The incident happened on October 16 and was first noticed by Mohit Garg, CEO, Akriti Enterperises next morning.

"When I came to office next morning, I saw that shutter handles were tampered. Inside the shop, 10 laptops were missing along with the hard disks. It seems that the involved people had good knowledge of laptop and related products," said Garg. He has also filed an FIR at Ghaziabad police station. The accused have not been identified yet. 

When enquired with Garg whether he suspects anyone, he said that other than the guard he does not suspect anybody from his office. Police has done the interrogation with the guard.

According to Garg, the laptops have been selectively picked and are of all the major brands including Sony, Lenovo, HP, Compaq, Dell and others.

Talking about the security measures, Garg informed that there after he has tightened the security at his office and is now planning to install electronic security systems as well.
