This monitor had features, normally found in the larger LCDs, and none in its
class. Some unique features include a DVI connector, portrait viewing using a
pivot and one of the highest tilt angles. On the performance gauge, it
outperformed all others in both viewing angle tests, but lagged a bit on the
switch-on time. But that was by just half a second and would not make any
difference in day-to-day usage.
It had by far the best OSD controls that were as easy to use as they were
elaborate. With minimalist use of buttons, three in this case, it has a very
user-friendly menu. These buttons double up as interface change and auto
adjustment one-touch buttons when used without the menu. Also, there is a hidden
but equally accessible volume control on the front bottom of the screen.
Speakers controlled by it, are one of the best amongst all monitors.
Drawback wise, we found that it had the largest footprint of the lot and the
rated response time was also high at 23 ms. Nevertheless, it’s a good bargain
given the price. At Rs 22,000, it is much lower than the average cost of all
flat panels. Thus, if you can spare a little more space on your desktop, there
is no reason why you should not buy this.
