GURGAON, INDIA : This official guide for GMAT review, 12th Edition is from Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The Graduate Management Admission Council which is  based in McLean, Virginia, is a nonprofit education organization of leading graduate business schools worldwide dedicated to creating access to and disseminating information about graduate management education. The Council owns the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), used by approximately 4,500 graduate management programs at some 1,900 business schools around the world to assess applicants.  GMAT—the only standardized test designed expressly for graduate business and management programs worldwide—is currently available at more than 450 test centers in over 100 countries. And this Graduate Management Admission Test is a standardized exam used as part of the admissions process by thousands of MBA and other graduate management education programs around the world.

The GMAT test consists of four separately timed sections including Analytical Writing -analysis of an argument, analysis of an Issue,  Quantitative -problem solving and data sufficiency,  Verbal -which contain reading comprehension, critical reasoning and sentence correction etc.. The type of questions  in this guide is little different in format and presentation when you take the test. For example, only one question at a time is presented on the computer screen. The answer choice for the multiple- choice questions will be preceded by circles, rather than by letters, and different question types appear in random order in the multiple-choice sections of the test. You may not go back to change the answers to previous questions.

The official GMAT Guide starts off with answering few questions like what is GMAT, why take GMAT test etc, to give you an idea and  warm you up for the test. The book then delves deep into how to prepare for the test including how to take diagnostic test. .The book  tells  about  Math review, which looks into Arithmetic, Algebra,Geometry etc. problems, thus helping   you  brush up your Mathematical concepts and relationships. The book gives you a fair knowledge about reading comprehensions which will help you understand words and statements, and  recognize a correct restatement or paraphrasing of the main idea of the passage given to you. This book will also help you to build up and improve your test taking strategies with every topics.

This book is a good source of sample exercises with more than 800 questions taken from retired versions of the test with more detailed explanations of the correct answers. The questions are presented in order of difficulty, giving users a better understanding of what constitutes an easy or hard question. This 12th edition also features two new downloadable tests and practice questions to help users focus on their preparation efforts. These practice questions, followed by an answer key, and then a review section  explains how to figure out each of the questions. This format gives you a chance to check your answers as you go, or to use it like a practice exam, and then review how well you did after you complete all the practice questions.
