"Knowing that 150,000 copies of my books have been sold so far is a humbling feeling," said Bagchi.

He added that the reader interest in his kind of books was an indication of a different India in the making. The entrepreneur and the professional are beginning to define what it means to be an Indian.

Bagchi reiterated, "That is the reason the three books have been so successful, and I look forward to the release of my business book for the sixteen-year-old of today."

Bagchi released his first book, The High Performance Entrepreneur, in 2006, followed by Go Kiss the World in 2008, and his current book, The Professional, published in 2009. The Professional defines what it means to be a professional in today’s world, and outlines the explicit and implicit code of conduct.

"On behalf of 10,000 MindTree Minds worldwide, I’d like to congratulate Subroto on this honor," said MindTree's managing director and chief executive officer Krishnakumar Natarajan.

He added that through his books, one gets great insight into Subroto's unique approach to leadership development, and how through his Gardener role at MindTree, Subroto helps differentiate MindTree and prepares their top-100 leaders for the next 25 years and more of their respective careers.

Bagchi's next book, I Did My MBA at 16, is scheduled to be published by Penguin India in 2012.
