The 19th International Conference on Data Engineering

BANGALORE: Targeted at IT professionals, database administrators and software engineers, the conference will be held between the 5th and 8th of March at the Taj Residency, Bangalore. This four-day conference will help in promoting the exchange of data engineering technologies and experience among researchers and practicing engineers. Over 250 delegates are expected to attend the four -day conference. This is an annual international conference, and last year’s conference was held at San Jose, CA. The conference is scheduled to be held in Boston, USA next year.



"Effective data management is a mainstay of any industry. ICDE 2003 will provide a forum for practicing engineers to discuss and understand evolving research, tools, and practices and provide them with an early opportunity to evaluate them. This conference will also facilitate engineers in presenting new research results and help in exposing the research community to the problems of practical application of data engineering technologies and database management," said Govindarajan, CTO, Aztec Software.



The four-day event will comprise of technology seminars, panel discussions, research paper presentations, industry presentations and demos. The keynote speakers will be Bruce Croft from University of Massachusetts, Amherst USA and Ramesh Jain from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA. Some other topics and speakers include:
