CHENNAI: Thailand is looking forward to Indian IT companies to set-up shops in
that country.

According to Pipat Paniangvait, vice-chairperson of Thai Chamber of Commerce,
India has advanced tremendously in the IT sector. “We would like IT companies,

especially software companies to set-up shops in Thailand,” he said adding

that the cost-factor was much more lesser in Thailand.

In this context, Pipat said that Thailand and the business community there was
willing to offer all necessary help for the Indian IT companies, as a result of

Bangkok's Look West Policy and New Delhi's Look East policy.

“We have had traditional cultural and business ties with India from time
immemorial,” he added in this regard.

Pipat, leading a 14-member delegation to India, had already visited New Delhi,
where they had discussions with CII and FICCI members. The delegation, after a

two-day stay in Chennai would also be visiting Mumbai on Saturday to explore the

possibilities of Thai companies investing in India, as well as to invite Indian

entrepreneurs to start business in their country.
