MUMBAI: Mumbai based distributor Texport Technologies has plans to enter into

security training sector. Texport has tied up with the ITAC (IT audit and

counsel) organization of Australia, which provides security training towards

this end. The joint venture formed would be known as ITAC India.

Speaking to CNS, Shailesh Goenka said that ITAC India would be operational from
its existing Mumbai office. Presently the JV is only on a revenue sharing basis

and things would be taking shape in the coming months. The offices would

simultaneously be opened in Mumbai and Delhi followed by Bangalore in near

future.

Stating the reason for the entry into the training market Goenka said that

the company sees a great opportunity in the security training area as the

awareness about the security is on the rise and there is a need felt for the

security training in the country by the corporates. According to him the right

knowledge about the security needs amongst people is not up to the optimum

level.

to formulate security policy in a right way and how to use them in a correct

way.

"For initial three to four months the trainers would come from Australia
till we have our own trained faculty'' said Goenka. The target group includes

banks, FMCG, software companies and government institutions.

Commenting on the Indian security market Goenka said that market for the

security products is estimated to be around $4 million, which is growing at

20-25 per cent per annum.

A tie up is in the offing with a Finland based company called Stonesoft,

which is into developing security products. Texport would distribute their
