Texas donates dialysis machine to BKF

BANGALORE, INDIA: Texas Instruments India has donated a dialysis machine to the Bangalore Kidney Foundation (BKF). The machine was donated by the employees of Texas under the banner of Texas Instruments India Foundation (TIIF).

Bobby Mitra, managing director, Texas Instruments formally handed over the machine to BKF. Also present to inaugurate the dialysis machine was acclaimed cricketer Anil Kumble who commended Texas Instruments' efforts to help the needy. Speaking at the occasion, he said “I would like to thank Texas Instruments India Foundation (TIIF) for their continuous support of this noble cause and all their volunteers who have shown solidarity for such events. More such activity from corporates will only go to make the world a better place.”

The machine has been installed at BKF’s state-of-the-art dialysis facility at Rangadore Memorial Hospital in Bangalore. S Sriram, Chairman of BKF and other trustees were present on the occasion.

The dialysis machine will be exclusively used for the treatment of patients who have tested positive for HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis.
