Telisma, an international leader in the field of speech processing solutions for mass market applications, is the preferred partner of large Enterprises. Its Malaysian partner, NuSuara, is a pioneer in the sector of technologies and applications based on speech recognition in South East Asia specialising in the SME and telecom markets. Together they have shared their tools and ‘savoir-faire’ for the benefit of the speech community.

Telisma and NuSuara have proven telisma’s unique collaborative approach to the design and development of industrial speech processing solutions, based on the open Eclipse development environment. Both the Thaï and Malay languages have been developed by Nusuara using the teliSpeech Language Development Kit (LDK) and are now available using the teliSpeech Recognizer, telisma’s Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) software.

“Keeping in line with telisma’s open strategy, we approached Nusuara to start the talks of collaboration. Conscious of our unrivalled joint expertise in the development of speech technologies and solutions in South East Asia this alliance will help accelerate the availability of ASR in more Asian countries.” stated Eric Le Flour, co-Founder and VP, Strategy and Business Development, telisma.

NuSuara CEO, Dato’ Ramli Abbas explained that this latest joint venture is aligned with the company’s strategy to work closely with leading technology providers to conceptualise and develop innovative technologies and tools to enable effective human centric computer interactions.

Frédéric Soufflet, Chief Technology Officer, telisma, added “telisma’s ambition is to develop a broad community of partners relating to speech processing technology, both in terms of widening its geography and extending the range of applications". “We have chosen to make our technologies available to the general public. Today, we believe the most suitable method for this is via a mass diffusion through the Eclipse environment community. We openly welcome other new partners to join us to develop more solutions with our open source software.”
