Telesoft sets up telecom lab in India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Telesoft, a UK based telecommunications provider, today announced the launch of their telecom lab in India. The lab is equipped with complete range of Telesoft’s products, allowing the local customer base to quickly integrate and test software applications and ensures network compatibility in real world conditions, said a press release.

"We chose India for our expansion plans due to its fast growth and willingness to accept new technologies,” said telesoft technologies' sales and marketing director, Andy Evripides.

Telesoft sees a huge potential in the Indian Telecom market and wants to showcase its capabilities in the local based services (LBS) area. Gurpreet Dogra, India country head for telesoft technologies, said, "With such huge numbers joining the mobile networks in India, we see immense business potential for new and extended data, voice and video services based on Telesoft Technologies' products.

" Telesoft has already established its sales and support office in India and has partnered with its distributor Soanar earlier this year. Telesoft's recent ventures in India include Pre-Paid Mobile IVR Applications using the OKEFORD media platform and OSS Billing Verification deployed using Telesoft's HINTON passive probe products, it added.

According to a release, India is currently one of the fastest growing economies in the world with telecom subscribers base growing at a very high pace.
