TELES launches VoIP Gateway solution

BANGALORE: TELES India has announced the launch of

TELES.VoIPGATE, a multifunctional VoIP Gateway that integrates into the existing

telecom infrastructure no matter if the connection is analog or digital and

enables organizations to dramatically reduce costs on voice calls.






TELES.VoIPGATE is ideal for corporate businesses as it facilitates a gradual,
risk-free transition to IP telephony and provides multiple scenarios for a

short-term return on investment. The TELES VoIPGATE with inbuilt feature of

second generation least cost routing that automatically selects the cheapest

route to the destination number no matter if over IP or over the public

telephone network, can be installed between the existing PBX and PSTN/ ISDN and

TELES.VoIPGATE is available with 2 PRI interfaces (2U) as a base system and with
up to 12 PRI interfaces (4U, 360 VoIP channels) in larger scale versions.

After entering the very few essential para- meters, the TELES.GATE Manager tool
facilitates on-site access and configuration of the box and routing file. The

inbuilt TELES Network Management tool helps large installations and fully

automatic remote provisioning.

TELES.VoIPGATE guarantees excellent voice quality: Echo Cancellation, Silence
Suppression and Comfort Noise Generation are part of the basic feature set of

each device. Also included are various audio codecs that allow effective speech

compression through the IP network and reduce the necessary bandwidth.

TELES.VoIPGATE supports signaling protocols H.323, SIP, MGCP, configurable on a

per VoIP-destination basis and paving the way to Next Generation Networks (NGN).

Network protocols such as Radius AAA, Gatekeeper H.225 (multiple Gatekeeper for

different networks) and Registrar protocols for authentication, network

surveillance and billing purposes are also supported.
