BANGALORE: US based system and software development solutions provider, Telelogic Corporation plans to double its capacity in its Indian subsidiary, Telelogic India, within the next six months. It plans to increase its customer support team and strength its sales team as part of the employee additions. Currently the company has 30 employees in India. It plans to add 20 professionals to its call center team, as it strengthens its marketing team by another 10 members, within the six months.

"The customer support team in India is doing a fantastic job and we plan to leverage the potential by strengthening the team. With a lot of MNCs, who are our global customers, setting up their presence in India, we have to increase our capacity. All these companies see Telelogic as a single entity operation, irrespective of the geographical location for service and support," said Telelogic Americas and Asia Pacific, President, Scott D Raskin on his first visit to the country.

Foreseeing Americas and Asia Pacific as the two biggest markets for the company, Telelogic combined the two regions under one division about a month ago and made Raskin as the first President to head the new division.

The subsidiary, set up in 2001-although present earlier through reseller, is planning to increase its presence and market reach. In that effort, apart from increasing its direct marketing campaign, it is also in the process of identifying strategic resellers or system integrators. The appointment of partners should happen with in the next quarter.

"We are looking for partners, who add more value to our solutions and not merely sell it as a shrink wrapped product. The partners whom we are identifying through a stringent process would add more value to our solution and extend our capabilities to the customers," said Telelogic India, Managing Director, Sidharth Malik.

Telelogic is also planning a media campaign, especially in India. "We want Telelogic brand to have a high mind recall when it comes to a developer platform solution. India is a good market for us and holds a lot of untapped potential. The coming years would change our position in the market for the good," added Raskin.

The company is also planning to launch in India its latest offering, Tau Generation2, formally next week. The product is based on the second-generation industry standard on Unified Modeling Language (UML2). The company targets software service sector and dedicated MNC centers in India as its major audience apart from the communication and automotive sectors.
