Our customers include SMBs like VKS Poultry & Hatcheries, Coimbatore; VKS Farms Trading and Manufacturing; and ABG Cement, to mention a few. Large-scale enterprises like Essar Steel and KSB Pumps are also using our solutions to enhance their businesses. We are now looking forward to expanding our footprints in the country.

What is CI meant for a common man and how will it help SMBs?

CI is a blue-print for the futuristic data centers that replaces the inflexible IT silos. It is achieved by converging three main elements — server, storage and networks with facilities, all managed through a common management platform. SMBs is one of the fastest emerging sectors in the country and it is very important for them to use cost-effective state-of-the-art technologies to remain competitive in their ventures.

SMBs, unlike large enterprises, do not have large IT resources and so we have simplified our solution so that they can afford our software solutions. And it will help them lay out their infrastructure to business globally.

Security is one of the main concerns in this area. At Intelligroup, we have some solution to detect whether the system is secure or not, and according to which we take corrective actions. We meet SMB customers' technology requirements and create a template-based solution.

What is the significance of enterprise mobility? How do companies use this to enhance their business?

Indian enterprises have started using enterprise mobility widely. It is the ability of an enterprise to connect to people and control assets from any location. Technologies that support enterprise mobility include wireless networks, mobile applications, middleware, devices, and security and management software. This application enables business people to be more productive that they can place more sales orders from their customers.

Intelligroup has partnership with Sybase, an enterprise software and services company, to provide mobility solutions to customers.

What is Enterprise Architecture all about, and why is it important?

Technology has to be flexible and adaptable so that the companies can be more productive. Suppose a company added 2000 customers and they are placing online orders at a time. To address such issues, the company has to figure out what kind of a technology is to be installed on their premises — whether to migrate to cloud computing, whether to use private, public or hybrid cloud, how to integrate on-cloud application to on-premise applications. All these come under Enterprise Architecture.
