Technical snag hits Airtel services in Delhi

NEW DELHI, INDIA: The network of telecom services major Bharti Airtel collapsed in for several hours in many parts of Delhi on Thursday evening. The problem has been rectified since, said Airtel.

The company said that the outage was due to some technical snag that affected some of their circuits. Even the customer helpline numbers were not responding.

“An unforseen technical outage had affected services on some of our circuits. As a result, some of Airtel Delhi mobile subscribers have experienced connectivity issues. The network is up now. We deeply regret the inconvenience," the company said in a statement. 

Incidentally the outage happened on the very day Airtel reported a major dip in its net profit.
