The company has recently won the prestigious Bharti Airtel Africa deal for setting up Airtel’s BPO operations in 7 countries.

He added that over a period of two years, they plan to reduce the expat headcount considerably and develop the workforce locally to run the operations. Tech Mahindra has now joined the league of Indian IT companies with significant headcount in the region.

The two top executives of the company also touched upon various aspects of the telecom scenario in Nigeria, namely Mobile Number Portability and its flexibility to consumers in Nigeria.
They outlined the need for the regulators and government to actively pursue SIM registration, which is absolutely necessary to ensure identity traceability and security for the nation, the release added.
