Techie employee sends terror mails

BANGALORE, INDIA: The Mumbai police on Monday claimed to have cracked terror e-mail case with the arrest of an alleged Wi-Fi hacker. This follows the series of terror blasts that seriously devastated the country over the months.

The hacker, said to be Mohd Mansoor Asgar, was employed with a top multinational company and was drawing a salary of Rs 19 lakh per year. Hailing from a highly educated family, Asgar, the police said, was the key person behind all the terror mails sent moments before the blasts.

Addressing the press conference in Mumbai, Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor said that on September 28, three people were arrested with Wi-Fi detectors. These were the people, who sent the email from Navi Mumbai and Khalsa College. The Police say that there people are involved in the blasts.

The police also said that they have seized three pen drives and five laptops, including the laptop which was used for the email.  "One of the IM co-founders, Riyaz Bhatkal has not been arrested," adds Gafoor.

Giving additional information, Mumbai's Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said that 10 people made the bombs and one person took explosives from Mangalore to Pune to Surat.
