Tech M wins $50 mn Saudi Telecom deal: paper

MUMBAI, INDIA:  Indian outsourcerTech Mahindra has won an IT implementation contract from Saudi Telecom 7010.SE, valued between $40 million to $50 million, the Economic Times reported on Tuesday.

The Indian firm has won part of a contract from Saudi Telecom, which is rolling out GSM services in Bahrain, the paper said, citing an unnamed person familiar with the development.

Tech Mahindra, which focuses on outsourcing services to the telecom sector, has recently won several deals in emerging markets such as India, Middle East and Africa, where the telecom markets are witnessing rapid growth, the paper said.
