'Tech is innovation engine of enterprises'

BANGALORE, INDIA: Technology major Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP) on Wednesday said that technology is the innovation engine of enterprises.

The company made the comment while launching its new application transformation solutions which it claims will help enterprises accelerate innovation.

Marshal Correia, director, Enterprise Services, HP India, said, “In today’s world of instant gratification, everyone expects secure, seamless access to information no matter where or when they want it. This requires an Instant-On Enterprise that can rapidly innovate and respond.”

He added that innovation is what separates market makers from market followers and technology is the innovation engine for the enterprise.

“Enterprise organizations have to adapt to global mega trends like evolving basic business models, technology advancements and changing workforce. They must innovate technologies with latest applications like cloud computing to be successful in their business,” Marshal added.

New solution to accelerate innovation among enterprises

application transformation services for client computing, financial services, enterprise cloud services for Microsoft dynamics CRM etc.

The solutions will allow clients to assess, modernize and manage the applications driving their enterprises and enable enterprises to understand their application portfolios, the company claimed.

The company is already in talks with some firms from different sectors to implement their latest applications.

“We are in talks with some companies from manufacturing and telecom sectors to implement our applications. We hope that it will help in their business growth,” said Vinod Bidarkappa, director and country general manager, Application Services-India at HP.

The company added that it is targeting large-scale enterprises as well as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to implement the new applications.
