The first line of defense in any terrorist attack is the "first responder" community - local police, firefighters and emergency medical professionals. First responders have the greatest potential to save lives and limit casualties after a terrorist attack. In the United States, nearly two million first responders are regularly called to public safety threats, including potential terrorist attacks and hazmat situations.

Low cost and easy-to-use, Morphix Technologies Chameleon chemical detection device can be used by fire, police or emergency rescue personnel in their role as First Responders. This innovation in color change technology enables the wearer to quickly determine the presence of hazardous chemicals, including Low pH (acid), high pH (base), Chlorine/Fluoride, Hydrogen Sulfide and Phosgene. The Chameleon is field-rugged: it can be used in desert heat, arctic cold and in-between. It can even be immersed in water.

The Chameleon can be used by First Responders in many different applications. Because of its low cost and ease of use, the Chameleon is an excellent chemical detection solution, as the company claims.
