Team Engineers develops modems, scouts for channel partners

HYDERABAD: Team Engineers, a Hyderabad based company, has introduced its

range of modems mainly for the ISP space. The company has launched 64Kbps -

digital leased line modems/line drivers and 2 Mbps digital HDSL modems (High bit

rate Digital Subscriber Line-HDSL Technology based modems). These will provide

solutions in connectivity to ISPs, WANs, LANs, etc. in terms of faster and

quicker access, and transfer of data/voice from one end to another.

The Teamlink 40664/128 Kbps digital modems/line drivers could be used for

data transmission over 2-wire unconditional twisted pair lines. It would provide

point-to point digital connectivity over leased lines through telecommunication

network to interconnect the workstations or networking equipment located at two

different places. Teamlink 3002HA is a HDSL technology based full duplex 2 Mbps

modem and could be used for data transmission. A pair of modems is required to

operate on a link. The modems are priced at Rs 40,000 per pair and Rs 55,000 per

pair respectively for the Indian market.

"We are looking out for channel partners to market our products in the

Indian space. Ideally we are scouting for those people who have some experience

in the networking business. We are hopeful of having a channel base in between

30 to 40 by the end of this year," said Team Engineers managing director L

V Reddy.

The company also supplies specialized Modems for BSNL's C-DoT exchanges for

implementation of COMaC Software for Controlling and Administering the C-DoT

exchanges installed all over India by BSNL.

The company has already provided its services to Electronic Mail Providers,

Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Department of Telecommunications (DOT) &

Indian Railways all over India, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. (MTNL - Mumbai

& New Delhi), Fujitsu ICIM, Meltron, TATA Group, Kirloskar Group and a

number of Central & State Government Organizations. The company generated

revenues of Rs 8 crore last year and for this year it is expecting to garner

revenues to the tune of Rs 15 crore.
