In a major announcement today, Indian IT services company, Tata Consultancy (TCS), has revealed that its esteemed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Ananth Krishnan is retiring after an illustrious career spanning three decades. Krishnan's retirement marks the end of an era, But it also marks the beginning of a new chapter in the journey of TCS as the company introduces a revised top management structure.

Tata Consulting Services (TCS) announced that Dr. Harik Finn, Chief Innovation Officer for Services, will take over the position of Senior Management Team (SMP) from August 1 with experience gained in academia and industry. Prior to assuming his current role, he was the CEO of TCS Digitate, leveraging his experience in innovating and transforming initiatives within the organization. His appointment as SMP reinforces TCS's commitment to nurturing in-house talent and leveraging the experience of experienced leaders to drive continued success.

TCS also stated in its BSE statement that Rajashree R would also no longer be an SMP. Other executives including Shankar Narayanan, V Rajanna, Ashok Pai, Reguraman Ayyaswamy, and Siva Ganesan will be appointed as SMP from July 31.

Shankar Narayan, the company's senior vice president, has spent 30+ years at TCS. In his distinguished career, he has held significant positions including head of global retail, consumer products, travel and hospitality, and head of the TCS UK & Ireland market.

Ashok Pai is the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Cognitive Business Operations (CBO) at the company. He has made significant contributions to helping businesses stay aligned with the demands of the digital economy.

Reguraman Ayyaswamy has been part of TCS for 29 years. He currently has the position of global head of the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital engineering units at the company. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in developing value-based solutions and services that have accelerated integrated manufacturing processes and product development.

Siva Gansan, Global Head of Microsoft Business Unit, has been working with TCS for over 32 years. He has experience in sales, operations, program management, delivery, and global account management. V Ranjana is the head of TCS's Communications, Media, and Technology business. He played a vital role in the growth of the IT consulting company's Hyderabad hub when he was its Head.

"Based on the discussions with customers and associates over the last couple of months, we believe, TCS can deliver the best value to the customers by synergising its domain and contextual knowledge across units. In this context, we have announced the new operating structure, which regroups our existing ISUs along industry segments into key business groups. The above changes will help in deepening customer centricity, which is pivotal to our growth." TCS said in a statement.
