MUMBAI (Reuters)- India's top software exporter
Tata
Consultancy Services Ltd., said on Monday it had signed a multi-million
dollar deal with Sequenom Inc. to develop software for life sciences over 12
months.
"This (the deal) is an acceptance for us in the biosciences and
pharmaceutical industries," Chief Executive S Ramadorai said while announcing
the deal at a news conference.
He said there was scope to build the life sciences and healthcare businesses
of TCS, which
gets about 4 percent of its revenues from the healthcare sector.
